Bonjour Tonton! parent and toddler classes are interactive French puppet shows run in Devon and are led by Tonton the French speaking tortoise. Tonton la Tortue offers preschoolers and their parents the opportunity to hear French and speak French once a week for 45 minutes at a time. Tonton has many other extraordinary friends and they all help to present the language in a way that is simple to understand. Children are encouraged to join in activities and play games whilst using basic French phrases in a fun and laid back environment. First of all we practise the rules of the game ‘musical statues’ that we will play later on and then we have to wake up Tonton because he is very sleepy.
